Short Codes or Long Code, Which Is Best For Me?
SMS Message Pro can use both short codes and long codes. Our Text message marketing software is unlimited in functionality and will easily let you convert a long code system to short code system. The are differences that you need to be aware of. 5 and 6 digit short codes (like 829402) are usually shared by hundreds, if not thousands of people. A keyword can only be used 1 time for each code. So that means that if you wanted to use the keyword "sign up" but it was already taken, you'd have to figure out another keyword. With your own long codes, or localized numbers, you have the freedom to make your keywords whatever you want, because you're the ONLY ONE using that number! If you really want to 'rock them' and have to have a 'shortcode' we can supply those as well. Be advised that it takes a considerable investment or $500.00 per month and a waiting period of up to 12 weeks for approval. We would be glad to start the process for your approval so gives us a call. If you are new to Text Message Marketing your best choice to start with a long code to build your lists and run several campaigns. By testing your market you can find out if a long code or short code would work best for you.
What Kinds of Texts Can I Send? You can send texts about ANYTHING!
